After receiving his BA in Journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington, Rick Dalton got his start in photography as a photojournalist working for the Fort Worth Star Telegram. He worked on staff at the newspaper for 4 years before branching out on his own to establish Dalton Photography. Trained by PPA Master Photographer Dale Brant, Rick quickly became one of the top portrait and studio photographers in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
From Mexico to Canada and beyond, Rick has been highly sought after for his expertise in light, posing, and composition. He teaches workshops and seminars in photo techniques, lighting, posing, and retouching. Whether he is teaching photography for TCU Adult Education, or guest speaking at photo clubs and schools, Rick has continued to share his knowledge and expertise with the world.
Rick is a family man, married for 35 years to the love of his life, Victoria. Together they have four children, two grandchildren, and two grand dogs. When he’s not behind a camera (which is rare!), you can find Rick walking his neighborhood with Victoria, volunteering at his local church, or throwing a football with his grandchildren.
